汽车工学作为具有最广泛工学性原理的工学的一个领域,是一门从150年前产业革命中的蒸汽车发动机发明以来,到现在一直都在不停发展着的综合性工学领域。现今,汽车工学把机械工学作为基础,在其他产业领域的应用范围越来越广。本学科的重点除了放在传统汽车工学领域以外,还放在最近成为焦点的环保型,智能型汽车技术领域。本学科使学生在学位课程中习得多种产业现场所需的专业知识,并使他们解决问题的能力得以培养,从而培养出在研究,配件开发及制造等所有汽车产业现场中能够展示卓越能力的高级专业技术人员。
